Read-Only Preview allows you to see your community exactly as others see it - without affecting any data or settings.
It’s designed to help you check visibility, content, and presentation before sharing your community more widely.
What is Read-Only Preview?
Read-Only Preview shows you how your platform appears to:
Members (signed-in members of your community)
The public (visitors viewing your marketplace page)
This helps you understand:
What content is visible
What activities, memberships, and competitions are accessible
How your descriptions and images appear
What users can (and cannot) interact with
What “Read-Only” Means
Preview mode does not switch your permissions.
You are not logged in as a member or public user. Instead, you are viewing your community from their perspective.
In preview mode:
You cannot book, join, register, or complete payments
You cannot edit content
You cannot submit forms
You cannot interact as that user type
It is purely a visibility preview.
Why Use Preview?
Use Read-Only Preview to:
Check that activities are published correctly
Confirm memberships are visible to the right audience
See how your community appears on the marketplace
Identify anything missing before promoting your page
It’s especially useful before:
Sharing your public link
Launching a new programme
Opening registrations
Running marketing campaigns
Member View vs Public View
Member View
Shows what signed-in members can access, including:
Members-only activities
Restricted content
Public View
Shows what anyone can see on your public-facing marketplace page, including:
Public activities
Public memberships
Community branding and description
If something isn’t visible in Public View, it won’t appear to external visitors.
Important Notes
Changes made in your admin area may require refreshing the preview.
Visibility depends on your publishing and access settings.
Preview does not simulate individual member roles or payment history.
Need More Control?
If you need to test the full user journey (such as booking or purchasing), you’ll need to use a separate member account rather than Preview mode.
